A sample of ecosystem is placed at the heart of a large-scale artificial installation designed to maintain its living conditions. Suspended in space, the structure combines recycled materials and regulation systems, forming an autonomous monitoring unit.

Taken from a natural space on the outskirts of the exhibition site, the sample retains sufficient organic density to allow specific living interactions to continue. The device attempts to sustain this balance by regulating several parameters - humidity, light, and circulation- according to an automated protocol.

As the installation deploys over time, these mechanisms come into conflict with the dynamics they seek to sustain. The system persists, but gradually produces unstable conditions where the maintenance of its integrity and its alteration coexist.

The work is situated in this interval: a space in which the attempt at preservation engages its own limit, and where any form of conservation already implies a transformation.
